Co-founder & CEO, Covin · ML engineer, Meta

hi, kartikey here.

› who is kartikey?

Co-founder and CEO of Covin, where we catch AI agents quietly working together against the people who run them. Also a machine learning engineer at Meta, ranking and recommending Horizon worlds, and a master’s student at Georgia Tech. Before that: on-device LLMs at Qualcomm, AI services at IBM, and silicon validation at AMD.

02 — Experience

Up and down the ML stack.

From the silicon that trains models to the products that run them. Open a layer and the cloud acts out that job.

    03 — Ranking

    Ranking, in miniature.

What I work on now at Meta, as a toy. A 4-head model scores each world (click, launch, 5-minute visit, exploration), a value model weighs the heads, and a boost lifts worlds you’ve visited before. The same boost can help one cohort and quietly hurt another. The cloud is the leaderboard. Illustrative data.

    04 — Privacy

    Privacy, in miniature.

My first year at Meta was on privacy classifiers. This is a toy version running entirely in your browser: rules and a tiny lexicon rather than the real thing, but the same shape of problem. Find it, score it, redact it. Type anything.

    05 — Work

    Things I’ve built.

Each cluster in the embedding is a project. Hover a row and its cluster lights up.

      06 — About

      A little more.

I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto with a minor in AI/ML, and I’m now doing my master’s at Georgia Tech alongside work. I keep drifting toward problems where the model is only half the work and the system around it is the other half: memory budgets on a phone, drift in production, labels that cost weeks to collect.

Outside of work: black belt in karate, and basketball whenever I can find a game.
